Jubilee Celebrations 2012
Jubilees are cause for special celebration and provide opportunity for renewal and recommitment. Jubilee calls us to express our gratitude to God and to our jubilarian sisters for their faithful love which encourages us to greater fidelity."

As School Sisters of Notre Dame celebrate the anniversary of their first profession of vows from 25, 40, 50, 60, 70, 75 or 80 years ago, we will share photos of those Jubilee events in the slideshow on this page. We begin with the first celebrations, which took place in the Province of Africa, and we will continue to add pictures as we receive them throughout this year.
On February 11, the men and women religious of the Sunyani Diocese in Ghana celebrated Consecrated Life Day. In order to bring awareness to the larger Catholic Community, they celebrated the Liturgy in Christ the King Cathedral with Bishop Matthew Gyamfi presiding, and they took the opportunity to celebrate the religious jubilarians at the same time. The theme was “Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus.”
“Because of the many years of God's fidelity and the generous response of the Jubilarians, we felt it was a joyful occasion to share with the faith community,” said Sister Delia Calis, SSND. “The novices and postulants, as well as aspirants from the different communities, joined us and enlivened the celebration."
Sister Delia and Sister Elis Viebeck, SSND, who also was honored at the Mass, are Golden Jubilarians celebrating their 50th years of profession.
