Meet the Catholic Sisters of Minnesota
Take time out of your busy schedule to share, to sing, to encounter the good in each other. We are!
The School Sisters of Notre Dame invite you to celebrate Catholic Sisters Week with us as we and other Catholic sisters from congregations in Minnesota "trolley" around St. Paul and Minneapolis. Our tour on March 12 will include music and conversation, and we will be collecting donations for a local, overnight, emergency shelter.
The School Sisters of Notre Dame will be joined on the trolley tour by the Visitation Sisters of Minneapolis and the Sinsinawa Dominicans. We will begin at 10:30 a.m. with liturgy, blessing and send-off from Lumen Christi in St. Paul. Our preliminary plan includes the following stops:
- 12:15 p.m. - Ascension Church, Minneapolis
- 1:15 p.m. - Assumption Church, St. Paul
- 2 p.m. - Mickey’s Diner, St. Paul
- 3 p.m. - Dorothy Day Center, St. Catherine’s University and St. Thomas University, St. Paul
- 4:30 p.m. - Basilica of St. Mary, Minneapolis
At each stop, we will collect personal hygiene items to donate to the Dorothy Day Center, an overnight emergency shelter for men and women, operated by Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
This event was made possible by a grant from National Catholic Sisters Week, which receives funding from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
