The Institute of Notre Dame in Baltimore, a college preparatory school for young women in grades 9-12 and the oldest SSND-founded institution in North America, is seeking applications for the position of principal.

Notre Dame Learning Center expands its program
The Rochester, N.Y., center, where tutoring has been offered to children in math and language for years, now offers high-school equivalency exam preparation classes and computer-skills classes to adults looking to improve their job prospects. Sister Evelyn Breslin, director, is looking for additional volunteer tutors.

Sister inducted into NDP Foundress Society
Sister Marian Sullivan was inducted into the Foundress Society of Notre Dame Preparatory School on Feb. 1. The honor marks both Sister Marian’s diamond jubilee and her 30-plus years of service to NDP.

S. Mary Michael Tashiro Receives Special Award
On Nov. 10 Sister Mary Michael Tashiro became a recipient of the Order of the Sacred Treasure, a decoration bestowed by the Emperor of Japan. Sister Mary Michael, who teaches Japanese at Notre Dame Prep, received the honor in recognition of all that she has contributed to education.
