The School Sisters of Notre Dame are active in a wide variety of unique ministries such as healthcare, social outreach and pastoral ministry. Please see the listings below for some of the places where SSNDs serve.

MAKING THE FUTURE BRIGHTER
FOR CHILDREN IN RURAL MISSOURI

“We are addressing the unmet health and wellness needs of hundreds of families with young children in rural Missouri,” says Sister Anne Francioni, SSND, executive director of Whole Kids Outreach (WKO), a non-profit organization based in Ellington, Missouri.

The WKO staff works to prevent abuse, neglect and poor health for mothers and their children in six rural Missouri counties: Butler, Carter, Iron, Reynolds, Shannon and Wayne.  “Our staff engages in this vital mission in an effort to improve the quality of life for future generations,” Sister Anne says.  More >>

Liturgical Fabric Arts:

The Liturgical Fabric Arts Department in the St. Louis, Missouri, Province has been creating beautiful custom-made vestments and banners to enhance worship in parish communities for more than 100 years.
In creating liturgical vestments, the staff follows the directives of the U.S. bishops’ document “Environment and Art in Catholic Worship.” For each vestment or banner, they aim to achieve dignity and beauty in design and form, in color and texture, and in materials used.
