Atlantic-Midwest (Baltimore,
Maryland)
During college, the thought about becoming a School Sister of Notre
Dame began to "tug" at me. My experience of SSNDs in high school attracted
me to religious life and to the School Sisters. They're the ones who
helped me believe in myself and taught me about giving to others.

My name is Sister Carolyn Jost, SSND. If you are searching for a way
of life that is joy-filled, Christ-centered and shared with others
in community, check out SSND! It just might be the right choice for
you!

Atlantic-Midwest (Wilton,
Connecticut)
I met the School Sisters of Notre Dame while I was a student at Regis
College. I entered the congregation in 1990. I have been a high school
campus minister and now serve as vocation director in the Wilton center of our Atlantic-Midwest Province.

Canada
As part of my religious life I taught in
Western Canada and worked in the formation of teachers in Peru. I
enjoy my work as vocation director. It has given me many opportunities
to be with and support those wishing to journey more closely
with God.

The real magnet of attraction for me to consider religious life as a School Sister of Notre Dame was the daily witness of a group of international women who offered their lives in joy, service and faithfulness to God as they lived in community. What a way of life to give to our world!

Being an SSND has challenged me to develop and share my gifts and talents with others in ministry as an educator. Sharing with one another as sisters in community supports me in living my commitment as an SSND. I'd be happy to help you discern whether God may be calling you to life as a member of our SSND community.

It's
not what the sisters did so much as who they were - happy generous
women - that first attracted me to the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
And it's living my life in relationship with these women
and for the sake of others that continues to call me.

Life
can be very puzzling, true? You just never know where you will go
when you allow God to give you some clues. As ambivalent as life can
be I found (and still find) many clues that led me to make decisions
that met my heart’s desire. Being with SSND has created a beautiful
picture in my puzzle of life! You want to know more? Give a call or
write a note.
