Associates are women and men who desire to live Gospel values through a special relationship with the School Sisters of Notre Dame. They sense a call to share the spirituality of our foundress Blessed Theresa of Jesus Gerhardinger.

Together, Associates and Sisters continue Christ's mission, respond to the changing needs of the Church, and strive to live the spirit, values, and ideals of Blessed Theresa:

• desire for union with God by doing God's will
• longing for oneness of all in God
• love of Eucharist
• devotion to Mary, Mother of Jesus
• spirit of prayer and sacrifice
• love for and commitment to those in need, especially youth, women, and persons who are poor
• empowerment of others in reaching the fullness of their potential.

Associates join hands with the School Sisters of Notre Dame to continue the mission of Jesus in the spirit of Mother Theresa and Mother Caroline, who adapted the congregation in North America:

• to bring all to oneness with God,
• to enable other to grow into the fullness of their potential,
• to be open to share in a common search for and doing God's will,
• to risk in faith for a more just and truly human world.
